Jeremy Crittenden is an actor based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, where he works on stage and screen.
Most recently, Jer played Leaf Coneybear in the Arts Club/Belfry Theatre production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.” After a record breaking run in Victoria, the bee headed to Vancouver and held over for three weeks to reach a total of 129 performances between the two venues.
The 2010/2011 theatre season is looking very exciting thus far, with Jeremy playing “The Stranger” in The Life Inside at the Belfry Theatre (November 16th – December 19th), as well as “Laurie” in the musical adaptation of Little Women and a world premiere adaptation of The Three Musketeers at Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre.
In 2009/2010, Jeremy appeared at the Granville Island Stage for the Arts Club Theatre company’s critically acclaimed production of “Altar Boyz”, playing the role of MATTHEW. The cast won the outstanding ensemble performance award at the 2010 Ovation awards and was also nominated for a Jessie Richardson Theatre Award.
Other recent credits include MAN #1 in the Jessie Award nominated ensemble revue, “The World Goes ‘Round”, BOBBY in “Cabaret”, CHARLIE in “Brigadoon” and DICKON in “The Secret Garden.”
For nearly seven years, Jeremy also served as a news anchor and entertainment reporter at News1130 radio in Vancouver. In addition to interviewing celebrities like Martin Short, Rufus Wainwright and Dustin Diamond (you know him… he played “Screech” in Saved by the Bell. I know, right?), Jeremy was also part of the award winning team that broke the story of a ferry sinking off the BC coast in 2006. Jeremy Crittenden was anchoring the night the Queen of the North sank, coverage that went on to win the Charlie Edwards Award from the BCRTNDA.
